Why did you choose pediatrics? I chose pediatrics largely from growing up with a sister who has special needs. I can make a positive impact on children's lives and am inspired by their resilience. Children have an amazing way of bouncing back from illness while inspiring those around them to continue to love life and explore the world with enthusiasm.

Why did you chose pediatrics? I chose pediatrics for the strength and resilience children have even in the face of illness, the chance to work with entire families, and the opportunity to practice preventive medicine. Plus, there is something wonderful about seeing your patients grow up!

Why I chose pediatrics? I was exposed at an early age to the medical field and care of children. My mom was a kindergarten teacher and my dad was an OB/GYN. I feel I was destined to follow their footsteps. So, I decided to combine their passions and become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. PLUS: Kids are fun, honest, and full of life.

Why did you choose pediatrics?: I knew I wanted to be a pediatric nurse from the age of 10 years old. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to participate in the healthcare of children all over the world. Preventive medicine is essential, and I love to build relationships with families while watching their children grow. Kids are amazing, resilient, funny, and you get to play with them all day!

Favorite Book(s)? I love reading with my kids so it’s hard to narrow it down. Pancakes for Breakfast, Frog Goes to Dinner, The Runaway Bunny, Little Bear’s Visit, Annie and the Wild Animals, and I Can Fly are some favorites in our house right now. I can’t wait until my boys are big enough to read Matilda, The Secret Garden, and Harry Potter!

Why did you choose pediatrics? I actually didn't intend to do pediatrics. But as soon as I got to medical school and did my pediatrics rotation it was “love at first sight.” Kids are so smart and so funny. They make me laugh everyday!

Why did you choose pediatrics? I love kids!!! I was that kid that loved babysitting and taking care of younger kids. I fell in love with science in high school and thought I might like to become a scientist. However, in college working in a lab without people was not a fit. I decided to go into medicine to study science and work with people. Pediatrics is a combination of all the things I love.
